Learn about this dynamic IAS officer, Srushti Deskmukh
Srushti is preparing to take her UPSC examination in her third year in engineering. When she finished her senior year of engineering, Deshmukh was unsure if she could be interested in working in engineering. Eventually, she realised that civil engineering was her love and devoted herself to it. The parents of her encouraged her to pursue civil service, and to pursue a public-service career. She was motivated to become an IAS officer, and she was focusing towards that aim. The work required to get UPSC. She would study the engineering subjects and then prepare for UPSC while also studying different subjects. Everyday she carved out the time to study for exams. She mastered the engineering exams in just one and a half months and stayed away from social activities. She believes that focus and concentration are the key to pass the exam to be a government official. She made a lot of effort to ensure she passed the test in her first attempt. Her habit was to go through newspapers in order to keep abreast of the latest news every single day. Rajya Sabha TV, online studies and resources were of great assistance to her.
